The Building Simple Machines Class Set allows students to explore the scientific concepts associated with simple machines, including levers and pulleys, wheel and axle, inclined planes, gears, wedge and screw. Students will acquire skills using a hands-on, inquiry-based approach to information and concepts.
Each kit supports 16 – 24 students working in teams. Create 15 fully functioning models of real-world machines, including a level balance, an elevator with fixed and moveable pulleys, and a crank fan with gears. Up to 8 models can be made at a time. Models feature a complex yet easy-to-understand layout and intermediate difficulty. Includes building instructions and an extensive Teacher's Guide.
